Many people are unaware of this, but Oscar de la Hoya aka the Golden Boy, a nickname that stuck after winning the gold medal at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, has been coming to Cabo San Lucas since at least the 1990s.

A few years ago, he fished with the Pisces 66 Feels N’ Dirt. “Total count of fish: 1 mackerel, 1 grouper, 1 red pear, and 3 freed roosters.”
This year, his vacation seemed more centered towards a low-key “fun in the sun” with a little bit of goofing off with his girlfriend while in downtown Cabo San Lucas at the Cabo Cantina … Cabo’s favorite sports bar. It has been many years, but I have personally enjoyed many boxing matches there.
