Storm Season Novela: Episode 16 — Lorena Closes the Port 🌊🌀
This morning’s rain? A blink-and-you-missed-it 0.01” here in Cabo (though others nearby clearly got more). Once again, the apps flubbed the totals but nailed the timing. The real forecast is always what we know after it happens, right? 😉 This will most likely be true for Lorena as well.

Meanwhile, Kiko is still spinning away in the Pacific, a Cat 2 hurricane doing his own dramatic twirl far from us.
But the spotlight is officially on Tropical Storm Lorena — our 12th named storm of the season. She’s forecast to become a hurricane tomorrow, and she’s already made her move:

- A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect from Cabo San Lucas northward to Cabo San Lázaro.
- The port is closed to small vessels as of 2pm today.
- Parasailing? Suspended.
- ALL beaches are now closed for safety.
- Forecast: ESE winds 25–30 knots, gusts to 35, with waves of 5–7 feet rolling in.

Rainfall is where Lorena could really deliver drama: 4–8 inches likely, with isolated totals up to 12 inches for Baja Sur and later Sonora. Flash flooding and mudslides are very possible, especially in the mountains and near arroyos.
Stay tuned, friends — the novela plot is just heating up. 🌧️⚡
