🌞 Happy FriYay from Live Cabo! 🌞
Normally, I stick to Cabo San Lucas weather, but today I’m rolling with the official regional forecast from the Municipal Director of Civil Protection of Los Cabos and La Paz—with that Live Cabo Radio twist 😉

💧 Regional Rain Outlook (Sept 19):
La Paz & Los Cabos → scattered showers ≤ 5 mm / ≤ 0.20″ 🌦️ … plus mountain zones could see 15–30 mm / 0.6–1.2″ and lightning ⚡
Comondú & Loreto → scattered ≤ 5 mm / ≤ 0.20″, mountain zones 10–15 mm / 0.4–0.6″
Mulegé → scattered ≤ 5 mm / ≤ 0.20″, mountain zones 15–20 mm / 0.6–0.8″ with lightning ⚡
And remember: Baja weather changes faster than you can drop a sombrero 🎩🌪️

🦟 Mosquito Watch: Wolbachia & Fumigation

La Paz has been buzzing (literally) about mosquito spraying, and now it’s Los Cabos’ turn. NOTE: If you live in an HOA, contact them to find out when it will be your turn. I’m 99% sure the resorts are doing their thing.
👉 Starting today, Sept 19, fumigation runs in San José del Cabo neighborhoods first (Santa Anita, Costa Dorada, Villa Bonita, Vivah Veredas, Buenos Aires) through Sept 28. Then, Sept 29–Oct 10, crews move to Cabo San Lucas.
💡 Wolbachia 101: this is a natural bacteria placed inside Aedes aegypti mosquitoes. It keeps them from spreading dengue, zika, and chikungunya. It’s safe for humans, animals, and the environment—and has shown big drops in dengue cases where used.
🚫 Fumigation kills adult mosquitoes, NOT larvae—so keep doing your part:
Wash & cover tinacos, buckets, cisterns
Flip old tires, bottles, cans that collect rainwater
Let fumigation trucks do their thing by keeping doors/windows open when they pass

🌊 Beach Flag Update – Los Cabos
(Yes, the official post has the wrong date, but hey—today’s still today!)
🚩 Red: No swimming – strong currents. Perfect excuse to grab shade & a cold one 🍹
🟡 Yellow: Swim with caution
⚪ White: Jellyfish warning – watch your toes!
⚫ Black: Beach closed
🟢 Green: Dive in, water’s great
🚨 Heads up: National Drill Today
At 12:00 pm Mexico City time (that’s 11:00 am here in Los Cabos) the Second National Drill 2025 kicks off. If you see shops & offices doing sudden evacuations, don’t panic—it’s practice. Prevention is power 💪

🌀 Tropics Check
Remember that system SSW of Cabo with “high chance of forming”?
Downgraded. 👋
Still has a 60% chance short-term, but cooler waters & dry air will likely fizzle it out.
Meanwhile, off southern Mexico—another system could develop next week as it tracks west-northwest.

Whether it’s for the weekend, a season, or for life — Live Cabo. 🎶
