October Weather in Cabo San Lucas: Still Active, Cooling Down & Hurricane Season Winds Down – My Weather Station Data (2020–2025)
October has a split personality.
It can still feel tropical… but you start getting hints of relief.
Temperatures:
– Days generally in the low to mid 90s
– Nights easing into the upper 60s and low 70s
Rain? Variable.
Some Octobers were completely dry.
Others delivered real rain, including over 3 inches in 2023.
That pretty much sums up October here — it can go either way.
Humidity often hangs around early in the month, then gradually backs off, and those slightly cooler evenings start sneaking in.
Important station note:
My 2025 temperature sensor was still acting dramatic after that August lightning/chubasco episode, so yes… ignore the 119.8°F diva moment 😄 Rain and wind data remained reliable.
ENSO note (simple + real):
Neutral conditions often support this kind of variable October pattern. If El Niño develops, broader ocean patterns can matter more this time of year, but local outcomes are never as simple as the headlines make them sound.
Bottom line: October is transition season — still warm, sometimes wet, but often the first taste of seasonal change.
And yes… for me, it also smells a little like Bisbee’s season.
I’ll keep going month by month with my actual data and screenshots.
How does October feel to you in Cabo — lingering summer, first hints of fall, or fishing tournament season?
