Will the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse be visible in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico?

By: Just Jenn

The Solar eclipse of April 8, 2024 will be visible in Cabo San Lucas. While we will not get a total eclipse of the sun here, it is supposed to be an excellent partial eclipse.

Mazatlan, Sinaloa will be the best place in the world to be able to witness the Solar Eclipse of 2024 and said that this event “will not be repeated in this area for 300 years, according to Gregory Schmidt, a scientist at the National Administration of Aeronautics and Space (NASA).

I found this great website that shows a rough animation of what the eclipse will look like for us here in Cabo San Lucas, which will begin at about 10:45am MST, with its peak near noon, and ends around 1:27pm MST. EDITED: Many websites state that the 95% partial eclipse for Cabo San Lucas begins at 9:46am, that it’s maximum will be at 11:03 (NASA says 11:07), and ends at 12:25pm. I think the confusion is in partial vs total … so it IS possible my original time is incorrect, and/or other websites have also edited their time line, as I had researched many websites prior to publishing this.
