Many years ago, I was googling Live Cabo Radio and discovered a FB group that was listening to us and promoting us! OMG how cool! We had the same ideals … and many friendships were made. Amazing when I look back to what 300-400 members that came OG from TripAdvisor (I’m actually a Destination Expert on that site) that the group now boasts over 16k members. My dear friend Carol came up with the idea of changing up the programming a bit and we replaced the “beer 30” show with the Caboholic Support Show.
I think I pulled a squirrel …. saw something shiny and got off track.
I will NEVER forget just how cool it was to find someone promoting us. We wanted to bring Cabo to you, they wanted to show you the fun they were having while they were here.
Without getting into the long history of Live Cabo Radio, when the Caboholic Support Show premiered, it was amazing. The Caboholic Support Group on FB would randomly type out song lyrics as a stand-alone post, or together in a single thread and pretend we were all hanging out together and in a sense, we were ❤️
So what might you hear during this fun show packed with top billboard hits (most gracious gift from my friend Bill) from the 60’s till the mid 80’s plus what I was feeling this week as well as songs about Cabo, Mexico, #Beer, #Tequila, and #Beach Please not to mention, Miguel Hill songs? A VERY eclectic mix for sure, but it works. I’ve brought back some songs we haven’t played in a long time, added a few I’m sure people haven’t heard in forever in general, and the “classics”. This week is a test week, and next week there will be some tweaking by adding more songs and maybe shifting the time slot.
As a legal hobby station, thank you to everyone that contributes by gifting purchased music, my fav was a contract on the back of a biz card that I was to pay for the music on a USB with a bucket of beer as payment!
I know there have been requests for eons for a heavy metal segment … maybe, it’ll be coming soon. After all, Live Cabo Radio is the original internet radio station for Cabo San Lucas for ALL. That one request might be a metal midnight thing but it’s on the board.
Also, the world-famous Caboholic Support Show might air twice a day because … we do have a global audience. Can’t leave the other side out of the mix just because I’m sleeping 🤪
