Dolores is moving toward the west-northwest near 7 mph and this motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days. On the forecast track, the center of Dolores should pass near Socorro Island Wednesday or Wednesday night. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 85 mph with higher gusts. Additional strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours, and Dolores is expected to become a major hurricane Wednesday or Wednesday night. Hurricane force winds extend outward up to 25 miles from the center and tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 150 miles For more information, please refer to the source of this information, The National Hurricane Center: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCPEP5+shtml/141452.shtml The forecast models still have Dolores staying far offshore but we should still monitor "her" as Cabo is expecting some rain later this week from the outer-bands, it will be at least a "little" windy Thursday and the waves will get quite large and dangerous. We will go into further detail as we know more ... ~ Jenn
