After many years of having tropical storms begin early in the season (hence why our region has a hurricane season start date of May 15th vs June 1st like the Atlantic Ocean and the Central Pacific), it seems like we are off to a late start. Today we have our first tropical storm expected to become a category 1 hurricane (edit: June 28th NOW Hurricane Adrian, though I won’t edit the graphics unless Adrian decides to change course) for the 2023 East Pacific Ocean Hurricane Season before reaching cooler waters and weakening back to a tropical storm by this weekend.

Our local waters are still cool and Adrian is expected to remain WELL offshore far far away from Cabo San Luas (Los Cabos, B.C.S)

Is it possible we might see even some sprinkles this weekend from some stray clouds? Yes. However, if we do see a few strays at this time, the biggest concern will be the humidity and 2-3 meter waves (up to 10 feet), so please take caution at the beach this weekend.
Since we are not expecting to experience “weather” weather from Adrian, this will most likely be my only blog post on her.
