Last Week’s Happenings for Cabo San Lucas, Today! Just the headlines today.

Most everyone is always asking about the weather in Cabo San Lucas, and since it can be difficult 😣 to forecast I can tell you what the last week has been like. While the graphic is pretty self-explanatory, it’s been very nice! I wish we’d have had a little wind to help bring some cool morning air into the house.

A truck had an oopsie at the boat launch this week. “Sometimes boat launches get covered in slippery algae, sometimes drivers forget to put the tow car in park. Sometimes the momentum of a heavy boat tugs a tow vehicle with enough force to overcome traction.” There is a fantastic article written that will help to answer head-scratching questions many of been commenting about the above image on social media HERE

It’s being reported that Cabo San Lucas has experienced a 13% increase from last year … the downtown local marchants aren’t feeling the love. From the restaurants, bars and souviner shops, their business is experiencing a much greater decrease in sales. Which reminds me, if you use the Los Cabo Passport Card to save bigly when eating out, please remember (I know you already know this) that if you get the two for one deal at a restaurant etc., to please tip you server as if you paid full price. ♥️

Now the image of the sunken boat in the bay in front of Medana beeach in Cabo San Lucas is not last weeks news, but it is still however still in the bay bobbing around 🤦‍♀️ I read it was a drain plus issue. Usually when possible, like in this instance being in shallow water, diver go down with inflatable tubes to raise the vessel so that it can be towed back in. Hopefully the company that offers this service will be called in soon.

The tourism board for Los Cabos is telling us that the resorts are at near capacity. As mentioned above, downtown isn’t feeling the ♥️ so perhaps everyone is going for all-inclusive this year?

Some called her an icon, some called her a legend, and so many called her a friend. The entire community was devasted to learn local Jazz singer, Kathy Billie Daniels from Two For The Road jazz club passed away in her sleep Thanksgiving morning. Her life story and the impact she had on so many people is going to leave a very large hole in Cabo San Lucas. I could write pages dedicated to her. Kathy, you will forever live in our hearts. Our prayers are with her husband Marty, and their son Marco. Heartbroken 😔

As much as I’d like to share more, Live Cabo Radi has Christmas to add into rotation so I’d better get to work 😃
