Today we will highlight the “100 Imperdibles” below to see who were the 2023 winners for Gastronomy, Attractions, and Hotels for Baja California Sur, most of which are located in Cabo San Lucas.

Gastronomy Winners for 2022 and 2023
The Baja Cantina is legendary. Located on the malecon with a view of the largest private yachts slipped year-round in Cabo San Lucas, and a newly remodeled dining room and kitchen, some things will never change. It’s because it has been the place to enjoy breakfast lunch and dinner for decades by locals, returning vacationers, and of course, the fishermen. Serving Mexican, American, and sushi, their menu has something for everyone. It is no wonder why every day someone is there to celebrate a birthday, or an anniversary, catch a sporting event on one of their numerous large TV’s both inside the bar area and the dining room, and hold meetings and small gatherings.

Maria Corona truly goes out of its way to keep the tradition alive with recipes passed down through generations from many regions in Mexico. When they say welcome home, they mean it. Maria Corona offers live entertainment, cooking lessons, and tequila tasting, and they host events like the Los Cabos Offshore Bisbee Awards dinner and in my opinion, the courtyard is perfect for any reception. With their award-winning Mexican cuisine, it is no wonder they have been awarded a must-experience award for our state. *2022 and 2023
Bar Esquina is located inside the Bahia Hotel Beach House just behind the restaurants along the famous Medano Beach in the bay of Cabo San Lucas. They take great pride in providing a welcoming atmosphere, and serving the best beverages from cappuccinos, fresh juice blends, and creative artisan cocktails, to locally sourced food like the best eggs you have ever had in your life, and those that abstain from pork for a variety of reasons cannot help themselves to the bacon on the planet for breakfast. The braised short rib pizza with Blue cheese & arugula, or the Club Sandwich with brioche bread, potato, or sweet potato fries for lunch (go with the sweet potato fries especially if you had their potatoes with your eggs for breakfast). I wish I recall what I had for dinner there, but as you can see from their dinner menu, your options of awesomeness are endless. *2022 winner
Casa Martin is the one I have not been to yet, but already know from experiencing Chef Roger Martin’s gourmet creations when he was working at Cabo del Sol, you and I will be in for an amazing experience. Attractions Winners 2023
Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park Cabo Pulmo is home to the oldest of only three coral reefs on the west coast of North America. Cabo Pulmo is estimated to be 20,000 years old. It is located approximately 60 miles from Los Cabos. It is a protected National Marine Park recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Many companies offer diving and snorkeling tours. My personal experience visiting Cabo Pulmo was many years ago when we would stay at the Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort where we’d rent one of their villas, preferably Villa del Mar.
Avistamientos ballena gris (I-Travel) located in La Paz. Grey whale sighting excursions is something I have yet to experience but I have been told it is an incredible experience. They are here for just a few short months a year to give birth between January and April however, there are restrictions on when the authorities allow the tours so as not to interfere with the births of their calves.
El Arco, is our most famous landmark in Cabo San Lucas. I think just about every water activity tour company from sunset cruises, and snorkeling excursions to water taxis offers this unique experience to get up close and personal to photograph it.
