Meet Tropical Storm Dalila, our 4th named “character” in the 2025 East Pacific Hurricane Season. For us here in Los Cabos, she’s not sticking around long — think of her as a day player with a dramatic entrance but no long-term storyline.
That said, while Dalila’s expected to stay offshore, she “is” making things messy for our neighbors to the south along mainland Mexico.

At last check, Dalila was about 205 miles south-southwest of Zihuatanejo, with maximum winds of 40 mph, moving north-northwest at 14 mph. At least she’s not one of those meandering storms that loiters and overthinks everything. (*cough*Odile*)
Here’s the current rundown:
Tropical Storm Warnings are up from Lázaro Cárdenas to Playa Pérula, meaning storm conditions are expected within 36 hours.
Tropical Storm Watches are in effect from east of Lázaro Cárdenas to Tecpan de Galeana and north of Playa Pérula to Cabo Corrientes, meaning storm conditions “could” happen within 48 hours.
Dalila’s forecast is to take a northwest turn today and head west by Sunday, staying offshore but running parallel to the coast.
She may not be a hurricane, but she’s taking up plenty of space on the map. Tropical-storm-force winds extend up to 310 miles from her center. There’s a good chance she might flex a little over the next day or so before gradually losing steam by Sunday.

Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated spots getting up to 6 inches, are expected across parts of Guerrero, Michoacán, and Colima through the weekend. Flash flooding and mudslides are possible, so if you have family or friends in those areas, keep them in your thoughts — even a non-hurricane can make a soggy mess.
As for us in Los Cabos? Sunny skies and no drama on the horizon. Dalila’s not invited to this part of the Los Cabos novela.
Dalila’s not in our script this weekend, but she’s stirring up some drama to the south. If you’ve got folks down there, you might want to send them a heads-up and some love. ❤️
