🇺🇸 Spending the 4th of July in Los Cabos?
No, Mexico doesn’t celebrate Independence Day on July 4—that’s celebrated on September 16. But Los Cabos has welcomed American visitors for generations, so many resorts, restaurants, beach clubs, and tour operators offer special events for their guests.
You can usually expect things like:
• BBQs and themed dinners
• Pool and beach parties
• Live music
• Sunset cruises and yacht charters
• Professional fireworks displays at participating resorts
One thing that’s definitely changed over the years is the fireworks.

If you’ve been visiting Cabo for a while, you probably remember when the displays along Medano Beach were much bigger. I may be a little nostalgic because I was married at Baja Cantina’s Medano Beach location on the 4th of July back in 2014! Those fireworks were unforgettable.
Today, celebrations tend to be more resort-based than one large public event. While some venues are beginning to incorporate drone displays into special events, many resorts still know their guests enjoy a traditional fireworks show.

The best advice? Check with your resort or favorite beach club to see what they have planned.
And no matter where you celebrate, there’s one thing that’s almost guaranteed…
🌅 A Cabo sunset.
Happy 4th of July to everyone celebrating, and enjoy your time in Los Cabos!
Have you celebrated the 4th of July in Cabo? What year was your favorite, and where did you watch the fireworks? I’d love to hear your memories in the comments!
