4pm update Sandra could be hurricane tonight

Not seeing much has changed since this morning … okay not true I’m totally wishful thinking but still totally calm as it’s just too soon to have an opinion on this storm (the fact that I will be shopping for food and water today is because I happen to only have food for Thanksgiving in the house).  Sandra is gaining in wind speed from max winds of 50 mph to 65 mph and is heading WNW instead of just W.  Forecast models are more spread out …

Here is a good read from Jeff Masters and Bob Henson on this system:  http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=3192

In the meantime … please pay serious attention to how much rain we may or may not get … it will change several times per day till the weekend but this morning “they” said about 1.5 inches and now more than 3. Or 1-2, or 3-4 … depending on whose site you are looking at.

Bottom line is we are in the margin of error – keep an eye on Sandra.
