Edited with a few more current graphics just after 10am …
While we were 😴 sleeping, Dora became the first hurricane of the season for the east Pacific Ocean.  Currently, Dora is approximately 449 miles away from Cabo San Lucas and poses no threats to Baja. repeat – no threats to Baja.
That being said – do NOT turn your back on the sea as Dora WILL effect the surf with very large swells that are considered life threatening.
For detailed info on how this storm should not effect us in Baja please visit the NHC http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MIATCPEP4+shtml/260246.shtml?
As she moves over cooler waters out to sea.

With regards to Dora, storms position, strength and forecasted direction changes constantly. Please bookmark the NHC for the most up to date info as they are the professionals … I’m just a blogger that does the weather for an on-line radio station and one of MANY Admins for a few local weather facebook groups (each group has several admins)   http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/#DORA
It’s early in the season. Seeing a storm out there is just a good reminder that we should all have already stocked on non-perishable supplies and not just for hurricanes; you never know when any type of crisis may occur which reminds me, I’m low on coffee cream.
