Bud Update

But first … a friend made this for me so of course I must use it.

It’s been a looooooong hot day. So long I don’t have the energy to get up and scroll through the log on my personal weather station to see if it topped 93f. I calmly did some last minute shopping so as not to be a hypocrite but really, why am I prepping for what is supposed to “just” be a tropical storm? Besides that sometimes the professionals totally get it wrong?

Welp, I’m not a fan of driving in the rain. Just an inch of rain can totally mess up driving from one end of town to the other. Cars get stuck in front of Squid Roe … people try to bypass the traffic and get stuck in dry river beds or what is often the case, in some areas a dry river bed IS the road. After a bit of rain, we do get flash floods. I don’t have those images on the device I’m working on, however … this link to an older babbling blog post explains we people get sooooo excited about a little bit of rain in Los Cabos. We are expecting more than a single inch btw, but I know other regions wonder so ….

If you read that, you have an inkling of what the hubbub is all about on shopping pre-rain. Plus, I’ve lived through the 1994 Northridge earthquake, dealt with fires, hurricanes … it’s just best to be prepared. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times (certainly seems like it) … keep as much on hand as you can as you never know if or when you will need it. It’s most unfortunate I do not have storage at my house so I really cannot prep like I preach.

So back to Bud …

Still a cat 3 and still supposed to come at or near us as a tropical storm. Buds max wind speeds have increased ever so slightly, and will soon approach cool water and Bud is expected to rapidly deteriorate, but don’t take my word for it. I’m just Jenn.
