In the last blog entry, I covered the Resorts, etc literally located on the marina in Cabo San Lucas. While affordable and walking distance is relative to your personal budget and time of the year, as well as if there are any hills to walk up and down, I narrowed it down to what is within a mile, in order of distance. This will be a 2 parter as it’s getting a bit lengthy. I’ve included links highlighted in blue. (I am not affiliated with any of the hotels listed below.)
Siesta Suites Boutique Hotel is 0.1 miles or 0.16 kilometers and won the 2022 Travelers Choice Award from Trip Advisor. It’s very charming and the average rate is about $75.00+ tax USD though you can find it for less on other websites. Many love the location, and that Salvatore G’s Restaurant is literally right there. Like cats? They’ve got several “house” kitties. Scroll through their website for more pictures in their gallery to see how cool it is.
The Bungalows Hotel is 0.2 miles or 0.32k, about 3 blocks from downtown. It’s very laid back and cozy, The rooms average from about $175-275.00+ taxes US each offering different perks like hammocks, some with a fountain, and they often offer discounts for stays longer than 2 nights, and WOW, some of the rooms the 3rd night is free, but each room comes with a gourmet breakfast menu. You may desire transportation even though it isn’t far.
I already talked about Marina Fiesta Resorts this week and find it amusing it says it is .4 miles when it is ON the marina in this blog post
Sandos Finisterra may not be considered affordable to some, but it is only a 1/2 mile (0.50m or 0.80k) from the marina. It is a resort and has extensive amenities with an average price per night of around a little more than 320+tax US. From their website, which you might enjoy browsing the gallery, “spacious balconies, large living areas, modern décor, and Baja California inspired architecture”
Cabo Inn Hotel is also said to be about 1/2 mile (0.50m or 0.80k) from the marina. The prices range from $53.00-$140.00+ tax US. Pet lovers will appreciate that they are pet-friendly! They not only have a community kitchen but are steps away from many restaurants.
Hotel Santa Fe Los Cabos by Villa Group is downtown and also approximately 1/2 mile (0.50m or 0.80k) from the marina. Their packages include lodging only, or the Bed and Breakfast option. Starting at just over $90+ tax US just for accommodations, with a very reasonable upgrade for breakfast,
The Ridge at Playa Grande (link for fantastic deals is to Trip Advisor) The Ridge is a AAA Four Diamond resort also only a 1/2 mile (0.50m or 0.80k) from the marina. Everyone says it exceeds their expectations and while usually kinda spendy, deals can be found!
In the next few days, I will finish the list. I had hoped to find more under $100US per night but alas, under a mile from the marina is a bit difficult.
