Happy FriYAY! There is a small chance we might see a bit of rain this weekend …. or not. We might see a bit of wind … perhaps nothing. I do know that after that we’ve got a fabulous (as I am typing … subject to change) break in tropical disturbances for at least 7 days in OUR region (Cabo San Lucas, Los Cabos, Baja California Sur). If the forecast changes on this system are not in our favor I’ll let you know! The local water are most certainly warm enough to sustain and with the other correct “ingredients”, make a storm.
From the NHC”
1. Off the coast of Southwestern Mexico: Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low pressure located about 250 miles south-southeast of Manzanillo, Mexico, have become better organized over the past several hours. Environmental conditions appear conducive for further development and a tropical depression is likely to form during the next day or so as it moves west-northwestward or northwestward, parallel to but not far offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico. Interests along the southwestern coast of Mexico and the southern portion of the Baja California peninsula should monitor the progress of this system during the next few days. * Formation chance through 48 hours…high…80 percent. * Formation chance through 7 days…high…90 percent.” https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/gtwo.php?basin=epac&fdays=7

Now let us take a look at how the season has progressed so far. Depending on who you ask, we are looking at anywhere from 16-22 named storms (to date we’ve had 4 regardless of strength). 9-11 named storms from Tropical Depressions to Tropical Storms (1 depression without a name so far), 4-6 Hurricanes category 1-2 (we’ve had 2), and 3-5 Major Hurricanes category 3 or higher (we are up to 2 major storms including Dora that was a cat 4 for a bit).
It’s been a tad toasty and an affirmative for frizzy hair the last few days but last night I ventured out to Sancho’s for Margo’s 40th birthday party and everyone had SUCH an amazing time I don’t think anyone but ME noticed. LOL Scroll down a bit to see all the fun everyone had (though I am positive the only pic of me shown was 1/4 of my plate of tacos) https://www.facebook.com/sanchoscabo
Have a fantastic weekend and let us hope I have nothing to report weather-wise besides frizzy hair and waterproof mascara not holding up to the humidity! bwahahahahahaha I do so love it here. xoxo I’m just personally in a relationship with airconditioning.
