Tropical Depression Six-E

EDITED b4 2pm – Now a Tropical Storm and rain amounts being forecast have changed from sprinkled to moderate to heavy ie; sprinkles to maybe 1/2” or more (one model shows an inch+ depending on where you live in the region. Wind speeds and gusts may be higher as well. Yay me for the earlier disclosure “subject to change) I guess we will all find out together! ☂️

The NHC says,

“The outer edges of rainfall from the depression may produce 1 to 2 inches of rain along the coastal sections of the southwestern Mexican states of Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit and the southern portion of Baja California Sur.”

Tropical Depression Six-E is expected to become a Tropical Storm Eugene later today and will stay well off-shore. There are NO coastal watches or warnings in effect. However, we might see 3-4 meter (9-12 feet) swells this weekend so please take caution along the beaches. A day at the pool of your resort might be more desirable if you need to be in the water while enjoying your vacation.

Locals … you might want to put down your umbrellas ☂ later. 🤷‍♀️ Just in case it gets a little gustier tonight.

This is a compilation of computer models for possible rain and winds this weekend. It doesn’t look too bad but visit the NHC to check to see if conditions change (though the bottom screenshot is from Windy) This is ALL subject to change so please keep an eye on this system to be on the safe side. https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/graphics_ep1.shtml?start#contents
