This one is a bit difficult for me personally as my day job is a brick-and-mortar shop downtown and if you don’t leave your resort, it affects the income of everyone downtown but this isn’t about me. It’s about you and your next vacation! In future blog posts, I will cover Resorts, private rentals, boutique hotels etc. (I am NOT affiliated with any of the resorts mentioned in this blog)
You’ve chosen to pick Cabo San Lucas, in Baja California Sur, Mexico as your vacation destination. You just want to … get away. You want to check in, and chill, with one of the perks, is precisely how many travel miles you are from home and work. You have no or limited desire to do anything but get away from it all.
Choosing an All-Inclusive Resort has many appeals. I am not endorsing any resort in particular but based on popularity on Trip Advisor (some may choose Expedia, or Booking.com just to name a few if not making your travel arrangements directly) let’s start with the top 5 rated by “best value”. However, there are just over 30 All-Inclusive Resorts that are in Cabo San Lucas, or not too far from downtown.
One of my friends does a week at one resort All-Inclusive just to unwind, and the second week is at a resort that for sure doesn’t enforce All-Inclice (most AI’s also offer European plans as well though some places like that horrid Plaza Las (NO) Glorias now known as Tesoro throw a fit if you bring back leftovers from dinner) so she and her family can enjoy all of the fantastic restaurants.
Playa Grande Resort & Grand Spa. You have the option of All-Inclusive or European Plan On-Site Bars and Restaurants ($) In-Suite Dining Service ($) Private Beach Outdoor Swimming Pools and Hot Tubs Adults-Only Pool Poolside Restaurants & Swim-Up Bars ($) Concierge Desk Spa and Beauty Salon ($) Wedding, Event, & Meeting Venues ($) Professional Event Planning Services ($) Activities & Theme Nights ($) Kids Club & Childcare ($) Gift Shop ($) Daily Housekeeping Handicap Accessible WiFi ($) Fitness Center ($) Valet Parking Free 24-Hour Gated Parking Car Rental Desk Laundry and Dry Cleaning Service ($) Airport Shuttle Service ($).
So what IS included in AI plan? All-Inclusive Plan Includes Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks at Playa Grande Resort’s restaurants and bars. International cocktails, domestic drinks, and house wine by the glass. Beach Party and Mexican Fiesta theme nights at Playa Grande Resort. Use of the mini golf and tennis court. Use of the Kids’ Club (5-12 years old). Premium Wi-Fi, Taxes, and Gratuities (though it is considered customary to tip anyways, especially housekeeping).
What is NOT included? Premium dishes, snacks, and drinks. Room service and take away orders. Coffee corner and mini market. Additional services (spa, laundry, telephone calls, etc.). External restaurants and bars (from other hotels, Romeo & Julieta, Pícaro, etc.).
Sandos Finisterra. The all-Inclusive plan includes All meals and snacks. Unlimited national drinks, soft drinks, wines, and cocktails from 10am to 2am. Drink service in the pool and beach areas. 24-hour room service. Tennis courts (unlimited use during hours of operation with a reservation). Includes equipment (balls and rackets). Please wear the proper clothing and shoes. Access to the gym with city views. Daily activities program with the entertainment team. Kids Club and Baby Club. Free WiFi.
Breathless Resort and Spa. Unlimited dining, unlimited drinks, 24-hour room service … Breathless is a Resort you really need to experience for yourself and that is my opinion just from when I experienced it a few years back with day passes.
Grand Solmar Land’s End Resort & Spa. There are so many beautiful things I could say about this resort but I feel like this blog is becoming a sales pitch.
Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Golf and Spa Resort. It just might be the largest resort in ALL of Los Cabos. Their tag of old-world luxury is an understatement. If you find yourself by where the pink flamingos are and happen to see a beautiful Blue and Gold Macaw, his name is Pretty Boy and he likes when people sing to him!
When I started this blog post, I had intentions of telling you the perks of each one but they are all pretty much as advertised so I didn’t get lazy with their offering. If you go All-Inclusive, they all have packages that include food and beverages. They all have pools, spas and if it is your thing (I know it it mine), you won’t or shouldn’t want for a thing.
Check out sites like Trip Advisor, use the search feature in the forums, and read the reviews of both 5* and 1*
There are 30ish resorts that are technically considered to be in Cabo San Lucas (proper) vs the corridor or San Jose del Cabo that offer All-Iclusive vacation packages.
It would be super awesome if you could share which resort offers AI that is your absolute favorite in the comments. Next is to pull a few fav’s for boutique hotels, and regular resorts all with fabulous amenities and a few other things music lovers will appreciate!

Just Jenn

Now I KNOW this blog is about All-Inclusive however, it is totally worth checking out the Los Cabos Passport Card to save hundreds to thousands of dollars on your next vacation for “in Cabo” things. You just might really really really want to order this card a few weeks in advance of your trip. It pays for itself! CLICK ME for HUGE savings! Seriously. Even the locals use it and love it.
xoxo
Your generosity will help me to buy more music, pay royalties to the artists, and cover the blog’s costs. Thank you so much!
